Carol Richert named Interim Assistant Principal at North Hills Middle School

The North Hills School District is pleased to announce that longtime educator Carol Richert will serve as interim assistant principal at North Hills Middle School for the first semester of the 2025-26 school year. She will join Principal John Lesjack and Associate Principal Katie Hartman on the administrative team, stepping fully into the role when Mrs. Hartman begins maternity leave this fall.

Mrs. Richert has been a valued member of the North Hills community since 2003, teaching both first and third grades, most recently at McIntyre Elementary School. Over her 23 years with the district, she has also served as Math K-6 Curriculum Leader, English Language Arts K-6 Curriculum Leader and head teacher.

A committed professional, Mrs. Richert holds a bachelor’s degree from Grove City College, a master’s degree in special education from Slippery Rock University, and principal certification from Point Park University. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy: Reading–Language Arts, Early and Middle Childhood.

Outside of school, Mrs. Richert is an avid Steelers fan and coffee enthusiast. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband, family, and friends, and caring for her three pet rabbits and dog.
